Hi all,

Just wondered when you go abroad which travel insurance company do you use? Im looking at taking it out with the post office but not sure if this will cover all our camping gear?

Any advice would be welcomed

Thanks lucy

We are covered under our home contents for all our camping gear. We take additional insurance out for us (health) and get this from moneysupermarket.com

My House insurance was organised through the Post Office, and the company that they recommended(I can't remember who it is now!) and my house Insurance DOES NOT cover my tent & equipment whilst in use.

I had to take out a seperate insurance policy through the Camping & Caravan Club to cover my tent & equipment, and I have had my renewal through today. £49 for a year.

Really depends on how much kit you take away with you & how much your tent cost whether you might need to get a policy like this.

If you do a search, there was alot of talk about this issue last summer on here.

There's plenty of good travel insurance advice on the moneysavingexpert's website.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your help. Going to check with home insurance people today fingers crossed. If not camping and caravan club cover sounds good.

Thanks again

Lucy
