We had a good time despite a journey from hell to get there (our 14 hour ferry crossing turned into 25 hours) and the weather wasnt too great. Felt that the theme park didn't offer much for our older kids (14 + 18 year old) if you like chinese meals the Legend Restaurant in Wassenar is highly recommended. We had a sit in meal one night which was good and had a carry out one night, the portions were huge twice the size they are at home, it did us 2 nights and still had some left over. We used public transport most of the time, a 10 euro hop on hop off ticket for the busses is very good value, that covered 5 of us all day. The Mauderodam (model villiage) in Den Haag is worth a visit. We visited the Sea Life Centre the same day, its on the same tram route (number 9), it was a bit dissapointing we were in and out in less than an hour, its not very big.
For shopping, Aldi is in Wassenar, much cheaper. Petrol is cheaper at the stations that only take cards, not cash.
Have a great time.
