Does anyone have any experience of using their routeplanners and have any feedback to share? In particular I thought the time's given for routes seemed very quick! We tow a caravan so obviously will be slower but I was amazed when the journey which took us approx 5 hours with the caravan a week ago was listed as under 3 hours on michelin!

The directions look good and I found the site easier to use than mappy but just wanted to check before we rely on it!

We usually use Via Michelin and find their directions are usually very good.  I agree with you about times.  I think they use the maximum speed on all the roads as if you never have to slow down, which of course, you always have to do from time to time.

We usually add a bit of time on to what they say if we need to be somewhere by a specific time but usually, particularly when going on holiday it doesn't really matter what time you get there.

Den is right. Routeplanners give you the time by calculating the max speed for all roads with no stops for a break. We always add on a couple of hours to take breaks and hold ups into account.
