Right off to the Vendee on Thursday and very excited.  Looking at weather sites and they all say different things.  which in your opinion is the most accurate, I know it shouldn't matter but I want to prepare myself if the weather is bad as I am in a tent for 10 days with 2 very small children.  Has anyone been there recently could give me an idea or should I just pack for every eventuality!

All the weather sites seem to give out different forcasts, but I tend to stick with accu weather. Click on world weather, top right hand corner.

Not if you are using the tunnel
'moderate or rough, occasionally very rough' is not encouraging. Speedferry rarely goes if waves are over 9ft but its not 1/2 that at the moment.
Out to the west [where the weather is coming from]over 100 boats are out of the fastnet race - some crews suffering severe seasickness but others have lost their masts

We're on the Condor Vomit Comet on Friday .
It was a little bumpy last year and the ferry earned its nickname in buckets . At least the queue for the food was short!

I am not too worried about the travelling side, it is set to calm down by Thursday - although I did see that they cancelled all ferries today.  If it is not 1/2 the time for cancelling yet then I can' see it getting worse by Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fameous last words - it should be fun!!!!
