Hi

I am hoping to take our caravan to Brittany next year. Can anyone suggest some nice family sites with things for the kids to do. Having trouble finding places where we can take our van to. Don't want a mobile home or tents that are already on site

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

Mandy

This is a british run super quiet site close to all the places south of Brest.

If you want bar club and pool this is not it.

Someone on here was posting earlier this week about Les Ormes - that looks really great for kids, but is a lively site .  We've booked for what we hope to be a quietish site, but with some family activities and we have chosen L'Orangerie de Lanniron.

Both sites have very good reviews on here.  I would suggest you check out the reviews on the above 'campsite search' for further details

Hi Mandy B, just back from Camping le TY-Nadan in Brittany. Had a great 10 nights. Plenty to do including canoeing, paintballing, horse riding, archery, quad biking, rock climbing. There is an outdoor pool, slides, indoor pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, badminton, bar, restaurant, shop, take away, kids clubs and this is all on site!

A mixture of tourers, tents, m/homes, statics, log cabins. 24 hour security.

Paul

Camping la Baie at Trinite sur Mer near Carnac in Southern Brittany. Great site on the beach - not too big, nice swimming pool, kids play area, bar/bistro/restaurant just across the road. Nicely run site, clean loos and showers, good size pitches.

Many other good beaches in the area............

Easy four hour drive from Caen with no tolls.

Been there two years on the trot and love it!

Vic

We just came back from 2 weeks at Sun L' Alantique in Brittany, great site with a small water park on site and 5 minutes walk to a gorgeous sandy beach. supermarket on site as well as childrens club and small bar and restaurant. Our girls are 8 & 12 years old and they loved it. We needed a relaxing chill out holiday and thats what we got! The showers were clean and we only had to queue twice in 14 nights. It was a long drive, but we did it overnight so it wasn't too bad. The markets in Fousnant and Beg Miel were wonderful, thats were we spent most of our money!!!!

There is a mix of Statics, Eurotents, Tourers & Tents. It is mainly French, Germans & British on site. I know you can book through Eurocamp but we booked direct with the site and it only cost us £470 for 2 weeks and because we travelled overnight, the channel tunnel only cost us £198 return. 16 nights away for less than £700 - not bad.

We are looking at Spain for next year, but will definetly go back!

...we're just back from Le Grand Metairie at Carnac - a Castels site. Lovely place, very friendly and loads to do - particularly for our boys (8 & 5).

And I cannot speak highly enough of Village La Plage in Le Guilvenec (Yelloh site).  Direct access to beach, pool, slides, safe bike rides, away from the bustle of 'touristy' areas.

Just got back from my 4th stay there in a row.
