Well, we've been away and come back (and wish we were still there).
It was our first time towing so took out european breakdown cover with Green Flag. Luckily we didn't need to call them but are wondering if we should have taken out extra cover for the trailer tent. Thing is, if your car breaks down and they can't repair it at the roadside and have to take it somewhere, do they also take the trailer tent?
Sounds like a stupid question but it's not one that we thought of before we went, if someone can help we'd appreciate it so we could be better prepared/informed for next time.

Check with green flag. Depends on your cover of course.
Caravan Club Red Pennant is the best by far but it's not cheap. Annual Multi-trip with CC is a good deal though. (eg if you have a disaster but are all ok they'll send out a driver with tow bar to take you to sites, etc & complete your hol, then take you home. Hotels etc if required)
We have Green Flag through the Caravan Club, plus have just taken out their Red Pennant european cover. With both they will, if necessary, take your trailer tent on to your destination - whether that's on the way to the camp-site, or on the way home, or both if your car can't be repaired before it's time to come back home!
we used vehicle rescue direct £34 coverd car and caravan. Now we`re safley home in the knowledge we didnt use it and saved £100 over red pennant cost.still believe red pennant is the best if it does go wrong though
