I agree we found La Rive incredibly busy from 20-24th, and most pitches were tiny - then people were leaving in droves due to the crap weather and end of hols and by the time we left on the 29th we were the only occupied pitch in an area of about 16 pitches... felt like the last rats on the ship, started to worry about our hygiene!

There was no privacy on pitches near us unless you are prepared to hem yourself in with windbreaks... I prefer natural hedging and some space.

We did have a pretty large pitch - could get tent (3.5 x 6.5M) and car and table and chairs on it... just felt like we were camped on the side of a road, and our view in either direction was of the toilet blocks and bins!

I know that feeling. This is our so called Super Pitch at La Rive. My wife is actually sat on the road. She had to move for the neighbours if they wanted to go out.

I had to pitch the van about a foot away from the trees in front of the static so I could park the car on the pitch.

This was booked through the caravan club as a Super Pitch with mains water and drains. It had neither.
