Any one got any advice on how we can tour Spain for a longer period of six months without registering etc as foreigners and keeping the car legal etc.No probs with insurance or breakdown cover just the Spanish laws! Any advice most welcome keep the wife happy!!

As long as your car is UK legal ie tax/ins/mot you will have no probs-you dont have to register as a resident cos you will have no adress-as an EU citizen you are entitled to be there--as for your car you need 2 warning triangles-yellow reflective vests for driver & all passengers & warning marker board if you have a bike rack on the back--

Thanks for that Billy.Now have a happy wife and can start the packing etc hope the tent survives.  Happy days in the future.

Make sure the reflective jackets are inside the passenger compartment not the boot,Also take your log book and mot certificate,

just pop some polish or lithuanian plates on and drive around for ever thats what happens here..............

Don't forget spare set bulbs for all vehicle lights, vehicle documents with you at all times and if you need to wear spectacles a spare set all legal requirements in Spain no children in front passenger seats even with seat belts alchol limit very low compared to here in fact virtual = no drink at all if driving. would also recomend international drivers licence from AA if you have old style green driving licence although not strictly necessary Spanish police can be notoriously difficult. for camping and other info try this
