Please can anyone help ?    Can you take a dog over to Ireland without all the Dog Passport requirements?

We did that a couple of years ago - Stenna line Holyhead to Dublin.  Dog stayed in car - no problems.

Sorry I meant yes a pet passport is NOT required for UK to Ireland - North or the Republic.  Ferry is very expensive though compared with Channel crossings.  We got the best deal with the Camping and Caravanning Club.

The first time we went to Ireland we took our dog, went from Cairnryan to Larne and Bruno was allowed on deck (but not inside), but I can't remember what ferry company that was.
