There must be plenty of people on here who've stopped at campsites in Germany, luxembourg belgium etc. Can you add them to the search facility please cause I'd like to see some more. Am thinking that we could go just over the german border somewhere but there's only 3 or 4 german campsites listed.
Thanks

Trailer tent, caravan and too many tents!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Thanks both, with 2 kids in tow I need somewhere not too far, the place in switzerland looks lovely but too far for us, I don't want to have to stop overnight to get there and have a feeling that a motorhome stopover won't want a tent pitched on it for 10 days, but I could be wrong?

You'll be best off with the Alan Rogers Europe Guide (which does not include France, so is good value) - they're generally quite reliable.
I think the countries you mention are not visited regularly enough for people to have favourites (with the possible exception of Lazy Rancho which we also loved when we went there more than 20 years ago!).

As you say "with two kids in tow I need somewhere not too far"..
Sounds like France again...?
Trouble is, if you're tenting or caravanning it then you're far more restricted than the Motorhomers.
Try Holland - we went twice last year first to Beekse Bergen and second to Scheldeoord -3 hours max from Dunkirk and loads for the kids -and very cheap too. Have a look at Vacansoleil web page as they have full details of both and you can also book pitches with them- they do pitches at campsites in other countries you mentioned also
Try the Camping Cheque website http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/ - it lists lots of sites in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, etc. If you click on 'Our campsites', then the country on the map, each 'dot' is a site, and clicking on that gives you brief details and then access to the site's own website. It's just a very easy way of finding sites. You can do a search on this website - just type in Belgium or Germany, select 'Topics' and 'Caravanning and Camping Abroad' as the forum - and you'll get lots of threads which may help.
