Looking for any feedback on camping cheque sites between Dunkirk and Caen, specifically Normandy area. Its too long to wait without having something to look forward to.

I'm also looking at cc sites in the Normandy area, have 7 cc which must be used by end of 2008 so thinking of going to France for a week end of May ( already booked Loire for August). I am looking at Le Brevedent and .Chateau de Martragny. Just trying to work out which one would suit the kids best. Will probably go to Martragny as it is handy for d day beaches and Bayeaux but like the look of Brevedent too. Both have good reviews.

Pager - have you thought of using your Camping Cheques in England? We've stayed at Rivendale, Derbyshire, and at Newlands (Dorset) and could recommend both. We've also done Brighouse Bay in Scotland - nice site, but wouldn't go back (deep, dark estuary, with reeds alongside - which I can't stand!!!). Our next British site is going to be 'The Quiet Site' in the Lake District, in a week or two!
As far as the original posting is concerned, sorry I don't want to divert the subject - I've heard good reviews of Le Brevedent and Chateau du Martragny - and met a couple who'd stayed at the latter, on our last night at Chateau du Gandspette in September - and had very much enjoyed their stay.

We are also looking at Le Brevedent, aa a stopover on way down to CarnacSouth Brittany from Zeebregge, and on way back as it's about half way. Any recent comments as we've not been to it before. One 13 year old boy with us, hopefully enough to keep him occupied?

Re Le Brevedent, depends on the time of year, but in school hols generally there is fishing, canoeing, tennis, a smalll pool, and cycling on site, Horse riding , and golf 18 hole, bookable from site. There are usually a load of English or Dutch kids around. If anyone is into musical instruments, take them with you . (They have there own grand piano )
