We also went to Domaine de la Foret and loved it. Being nosy though we went and had a quick peek at Le Pin Parasol and La Garangeoire while we were there (couldn't find village de la Guyonniere but it had been one we had considered). Le Pin Parasol did look nice but much bigger than La Foret and perhaps a little cramped in the areas we looked at in comparison. La Garangeoire was just too busy full stop. Like you, we like to try different sites but this time we are going to break the habit of a lifetime and go back to the same one, cos for the type of relaxing holiday we are after I don't think we could better it in the area.

We have been to Le Pin for the last 2 years and booked for next year, it is a lovely family run site.  Above at top of page you will see  search,  put in Le Pin Parasol in caravnning abroad and that will bring up some reviews, sorry cant do links yet      hope this is some help.

We've been to Guyonniere in 2005 and 2007.  It had grown over that time, but the pitches are very spacious and divided into several smaller fields, normally with an open area in the centre.  Our family love it there (10, 13 & 15) and the improved aquatic area is really brill.  It's right near Lac du Jauney too, which you can access direct from the site, very peaceful.  Bar has entertainment during season, and site seems to be a good mix of facilities of large site, with feel of smaller one.

You have probably booked by now!

Two years ago we looked round all those sites and decided to book La Domaine, hence our visit this year!

The other sites were too big for us (we were on a big one in 2006), however they did have more organised facilities for children than La Domaine, but we decided we wanted the smaller site.

Cycled to La Garangeoire again this year and hadn't changed our minds. Did speak to a family at the crepeire on Lac Jauney who were at Pin Parosel and loving it.

No we haven't booked because we are hoping to go and visit my brother and his wife in America next year. However at £2000 just for the flights we are wistfully thinking off the relatively cheaper cost of 3 weeks in France!! Never mind, we all really want to go and see them. They are near the Blue Ridge Mountains and so we fancy a bit of camping there instead. Will just have to do UK weekends next year.

Back to School tomorrow? Have a good term!
