Hi

We were there 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  We were lucky though and had a week of glorious weather in the 30s each day.  We spent our days lazing by the lake and in the pool, didn't see much of the surrounding area apart from going out for food shopping.  We had a busy week in the vendee before that so were quite content just lazing around.   The kids were fully occupied, they both made friends and joined in with the various activities on offer.  Some of the lakeside pitches are lovely, although we stayed in a static when we were there.  Hope this helps a little.

Dionne

Hi

We stayed at this site in a static caravan for a week in the May half term, this year, the weather was awful! The site wasnt too busy and had a lovely pool complex which we used a couple of times as a lot of rain. The indoor spa pool was great and we used this alot (there were time restrictions, I think we could only use it for 2 ours in the afternoon and it was a nominal fee in May), men/boys had to wear trunks, they were strict. The restaurant was ok, we ate there once, and we didnt find that many places to eat nearby. I thought the site was a bit remote as you couldnt walk to any villages. There was a tennis court which was a little expensive, crazy golf, hiring of go karts, table tennis and kids clubs. There was a lake which you could hire pedalos and a nice lakeside bar which had some evening entertainment .  I think we would have enjoyed our stay more if the weather had been good. We intend on going further south next year. Hope this helps. Ness

I had an overnight stop there in a tent.I liked the site, when I visited in May it had  a good atmosphere with some nice family entertainment in the evening and good play areas for the kids.

Negatives for me with 4 younge children who swim to varrying degrees were the lack of seperation between deep and shallow water in the pool complex but this may not be a factor for you. Also the evening entertainment if in a tent could be a little intrusive, for me a good site for a stopover but probably wouldn,t base myself there as it seemed a little remote.

We had a fantastic time in a static 4 years ago and would definitely go back with our caravan. The only slight downside was that the site is quite remote and if you want a drink or a meal, or want to buy anything not stocked in the shop then you have to drive really. The bars and restaurants on site took advantage of the captive audience with slightly inflated prices, but the facilities were first class and like I said we would efinitely go back. As with anywhere you have to be lucky with the weather unless you are willing to go further South. Good luck.
