Yes, we went in 2003 in August, but it was full up, so we got onto
a site just down the road Soulac-sur-Mer. The site you mentioned
is a very large, 4 star site, great for kids. Take some bikes with
you, the forest smells great. Hope you have some great fun.
Have you seen:-

You wont need to book you will always get in somewhere in the area-obviously a site with a pool costs more--theres several camping municipals about--big ones at Le Gurp & Montalivet walking distance from the beach--a couple of miles inland there are a few 'aire naturales'(very cheap campsites)--also a couple of big naturist campsites(Euronat & CHM) The website for the area is here clic accomadation, then campsites, then lancer la recherche then clic on one of the little tents on the map.

What about camping club arcachon have you seen/heard of this? friend just located this one. Have heard that this is a boating area and see that its 1.8km from beach and town, but not sure what kind of beach is within easy reach. Sorry Big country lots of sites, start looking in one area and end in another!

We in Germany have two registration documents. Part 2 is the 'Log Book' + 'COC', this you keep at home. Part 1, a smaller doc is the one we must take. I do take a copy of part 2, but have only ever shown part 1, so I could imagine you could do the same.
