Just received an email which may be of interest to some of you - P&O are offering one way fares for £25 if you book from 10am today till Monday night.  Haven't looked at the details as we have already booked Hull-Zeebrugge but it might save some of you some cash!

Don't think it will include a caravan and you probably have to go there and back in 3 or 4 days but hey £25 is cheap to stock up on the booze!

It definitely is - we live near Leeds and have done France many times before.  If you haven't been before then you should try it - and if you have been before, then you'll know how nice it is.  For those dates in August you can save even more money by using Camping Cheques, making a night on site, including pitch, two people, electricity, and a dog, only £10.30 - some sites even accept six cheques for 7 nights, so for just £162.40 you could have a week in France including ferry and all site fees.

Val

For dates Chris states, camping cheques aren't valid.

It's surprising how many sites there are where it's possible to use Camping Cheques during August.

While 15th August is a good day to travel around France, you need to bear in mind that it is a Bank Holiday, so purchasing anything other than fuel at motorway services will be difficult.

Some supermarkets will be open, but only for 3 hours in the morning.

Just warning you, so you are prepared, and it doesn't come as a shock when you see all the supermarkets shut on a Friday!!!

Yes, would definitely fancy it - thought of the Vercors every year, especially as we love wildlife, and wild country - but always drawn back to the Millau, Tarn, Cevennes, Ardeche area!   Just come back from four days in France, with David's 90 year old Mum on her first ever flight - and did Nimes, Ardeche, Avignon, Provence, Grau du Roi (favourite areas) but would love to have just been a bit more 'wild' and ventured into the Vercors area.

Would highly recommend Camping Cheques - we've been using them for eleven years, and found some fantastic sites - and saved a lot of money, too.  Also, try the ACSI website for details of other 'discount' sites. (10, 12, and14 euros per night).

Can i ask folks if these prices include caravans and is there a specific time slot(s) for these offers.

All i keep getting are normal prices.
