I've found a couple of threads mentioning this site but nothing recent. I'm hoping that someone who has been there can give me some more information: -
Are the pitches big enough for a large tent (7.5 x 5.5)?
Do all the pitches lead directly off the road (it looks like it on the website)?
Is the site reasonably quiet at night?
Are the toilets/showers clean?
It's taken weeks to narrow down areas and sites and we've finally settled on Morbihan, Brittany and are choosing between Kervilor and Penboch. Any comments on either of these sites would be helpful!
Thanks

We stayed at this site 2 years ago. it's lovely, great pool, good size pitches, lovely area. The showers and toilets were being constantly cleaned. It has a really good play area and tennis/basketball courts, mini golf, bike hire. The washing machines were good and not too expensive. Would recommend highly. If I remember rightly only the static site was near to the road, none of the other pitches were. We're going to this area again this year but staying at La Baie ( stayed here about 5 years ago ) which is directly across from a really good beach, which is what we want this year, to be able to walk to the beach. In high season La Trinite is a really busy area to drive through, lots of traffic. Good restaurants down on the harbour. Hope this helps.
We stayed here last year and out of the 4 differernet sites in a month we stayed at it was our favourite. It was busy in the day and kept our kids 9,12 & 13 entertained but very quiet in the evenings. Carnac a 5-10 minute drive away is a lovely town with a gorgeous beach plenty of shops and restaurants.
------------- Had a 2 year break from camping but ff to france this summer hopefully

We stayed at Penboch - had a great holiday, the site was just what we were looking for. The only downside was that the site was a bit 'out of the way'. We drove to Trinte Sur Mer one day and found that the area had more choice of restaurants/shops and we would consider staying there another time. Sorry, can't be any more help about Kervilor though!
Many thanks for replying. I do fancy staying around Trinte Sur Mer I will keep on searching. Sat here with the Alan Rogers book in one hand and a glass of red in the other in holiday mode for next year hehehehe.

I started looking at holidays for next year within 2 days of getting home from France! Kids been back at school one day and I feel like we all need another holiday already after the mountain of homework tonight!
LOL beat you was clutching the Alan Rogers book on the way back to Calais I am just soooo sad! Know what you mean about needing a hol my eldest started high school on Monday (me stressed she was fine!) youngest back at primary tomorrow. Yuck here we go again eh?
We returned from La Baie at Trinite sue Mer on the 25th Aug. Only 1 day of rain, some evenings, cloud but plenty of sun. We were there for 16 days. Great site, direct access to beach, lots of seaweed though. Ate out in La Trinite 3 times, very good. Carnac was lovely. The walk into La Trinite from our site was lovely, we did this loads of time and as it avoided the road completely was great for young kids. Vannes and Auray were lovely, great markets too. This is a lovely area and both Kervilor and La Baie were lovely sites, stayed at both.
both the sites you mention accept ACSI card.........depending on when you are going you could save yourself a small fortune !!! (which you can then spend on wine to bring home !!

Unfortunately most sites don't accept it during "high" season ( July/August) but the website gives details of when you can use it on each campsite. Even if the card is no use to you the website is handy for finding campsites as it lists hundreds of them and details what facilities ( swimming pool/restaurant/shop etc) are available on each one.
Good quality site in a good location, nice sized pitches, good facilities and a fine pool complex. If I was to fault it it has a lot of brits and a not very french feel to it but all in all an excellent site.
