No idea myself, sorry, although I would have thought it would be possible but could be expensive.
It's been a long time!
By and large I am a canvas man, but the wife is getting on a bit and is fancying a bit more comfort (she'd kill me if she knew I said that!) 
I don't have anywhere to keep a caravan, and the idea of just hiring one when and if required seems a good idea. If we wanted to go touring in France, it would seem to me that the sensible thing to do would be to hire one out there - saves on Ferry costs etc.
