Hi

Is there anyone that could give me advice on whether it is worth paying extra for a prive sanitair hut on a big Dutch campsite.

I understand that it contains a shower and a loo and also wonder if there is a water connection I could use for filling caravan up from and maybe even dirty water point or something.

Am I right about this and if so do most people make use of them?

The campsite have been lovely with me, patiently answering my questions, but I feel a bit of a dummy on this!!

Also - even though it is a big site, should I worry that there will be hordes of noisy kids and beery adults late at night or am I imagining rightly that the people will be fairly neighbourly?

Many thanks to all

Allison

It would help to know the name of the campsite & the dates you are going--

We have camped in Holland for years, especially when we lived there in the 80's,and we still go over every year and have yet to see a campsite with inadequate sanitary facilities, they are always spotless and would put alot of other countries facilities to shame.  I wouldn't pay extra for a private facility.

If you want to avoid noisey kids and loud adults then avoid sites that have large numbers of Brits on them in all our years abroad the noise and trouble has always come from Brits,

I wouldnt pay for anything extra. All the Dutch pitches have water taps and EHU on the pitch itself, and the showers and loos are always spotless. I go every year, have been all over the Netherlands, and its always been great.

Thanks very much everyone.

As it turns out there were none of these pitches left but it sounds like we won't be needing it!

Only thing now is to work out if we ever normally use over 6 amps as that is the amount per pitch.

yes you have to watch the EHU - some places are only 4 amp, some go up to 10amp, :o)
