Hi Has anyone stopped at a site called Camping du Tertre in the Champagne area? I can't find the site on the French reviews here but it is in Alan Rogers so I wondered if anyone has any first hand experience of it?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry can't help, we did use the municipal site in Troyes both on the way down and back up again and at about £10 a night thought it was good value and totally acceptable for an overnight stay.

Thanks we did look at that one but ruled it out as it looked great for a stop over but, we are going to stay 4 nights and explore the area a bit and didn't fancy the outlet shops being so close.

We always stay at the Municipal. Just to reassure you that the campsite is a green oasis on the edge of the City Centre. However it is quite a busy site, with lots of people coming and going, so perhaps I can see why you might want to seek a site further out in the country. If you do stay at your choosen site be usful if you could do a review.

David

Yes we stayed at this site on the way down to Annecy and then St Maxime. Its next to a very large lake with man made beaches and off road cycle tracks. I believe that you can cycle off road all the way to Troyes. The managers wife speaks good english and was very helpful. She booked our dog into the local vets for our return journey. We consequently stayed for two nights on the return. I can't remember how much we paid but it must have been around £16 a night, pitches are large and most have own water, electric and waste. Toilets are basic but clean. There is a small swimming pool, supermarkets are about a 5 min drive away in next town (Aldi and Intermarche). Access to pitches is good, all pitches are level. We didn't really explore the area much as the weather was cloudy on both stopovers.
