Why not I would.

Two years ago the same thing happened to me on a booking with the CC. I asked about the decrease and they honoured it. It was not a lot of difference, not like yours, but it was the principal.

I would ask and you never know they might say yes, just come back and tell us what happens.

Whay annoys me over this scenario is the fact that the ferry companies entice us to book early to gain big discounts. If that's the case then how come as the ferry bookings fill up the price comes down. Probably because the ferry isn't filling up so now they start dangling another carrot. Don't speak to the person on the phone ask to speak to a supervisor.

Hi - I checked my booking made in September and also shows the same route £71 cheaper.  Copied in their reply below

Our prices can go up as well as down due to the state of the market place and how busy our bookings are for a particular sailing.  We will not reduce your fare to the new price, however you can cancel your booking with, a loss of £25.00,  and re-book at the new rate.Please advise if you wish us to cancel your current booking. egards,Brittany FerriesPassenger Services
