£32 for 2 week cover, you don't seem to get a lot if things go wrong.......

Thanks cooljules, I'll have a look, I speak some German, my sister has lived there for 25 years (my nephew lives in the same town as Mike I see)

I got rescued by ADAC some years ago in Germany, nice man in "haribo" type overalls came an worked some magic on my car!

people use them in my VW forum, and others were asking too.

i dont have a cc. so maybe i get my friend in Berlin to get it for me..

im off to Italy next month, and all over Europe so i will take them up..

Iam another fan of ADAC, and i have there Plus Membership even though i live in the UK membership is not a problem. I have just renewed my membership at £84, thats for 12 months pan european cover, Car&Caravan, breakdown, accident, theft, Recovery etc, and the real bonus is World wide air ambulance repatriation included with membership and that for the whole family travelling with you. But it doesnt cover the cost of hospital in patient treatment but ADAC do offer this for an extra premium. Do not be put off by having to phone Germany for assistance, the ADAC operators are superb and speak excellent english. Highly recomended.

had a search on net for ADAC. It appears that you have to pay for parts to fix vehicle. also you pay upfront and they
refund you on return to uk with receipts

Signed up yesterday at "covermybreakdown.co.uk" for their gold cover. 12 months UK and European insurance for £79.95. Owned by AXA Insurance, it is less than half the price I was paying the AA for similar cover. Trailer/caravan cover is included. Just hope I don't need to call them!

I can thoughorly recomend Green Flag. Because of circumstances beyond my control the car & camping trailer had to be chauffered back from deepest Ardeche to Gloucester  UK. I travelled back on a plane with a son who flew out there.

It might be more expensive, but it's the best!

We have the More Than policy, have done for the last few years. However they only cover your trailer/caravan if you're towing it at the time. If the unit was untowable you would have to sort it yourself. Excellent price though.
