Sorry you wont be making it to france this year. Our old 'beast' (vauxhall frontera) is 11 years old now but we're risking it! Devon/Cornwall worth exploringn tho, sure you'll have a great time. Noted in a previous reply of yours you mentioned a couple of sites that sounded interesting. We may well be there in August this year, and looking for no frills campsites, that are quiet and shady, (just getting over radiotherapy so no direct sun!) and cheap if poss. You mentioned one in Limousin and one 10k from Bordeaux. Would appreciate any suggestions. Heading south in a leisurely manner, probably ending up in Le Lavandou/St Clair, our favourite area. However, not in August!

we're on a countdown to all ours hols, Cornwall first then 5 days later we're off to France, can't wait as I thought we might have to cancel France cause hubby is off work with his back again so money is tight but I'm saving like mad to make sure we get there

i think the first time i would go to france id have to follow someone just in case i forgot what side of the road to go on lol but good luck to all those who do go there

You wouldn't you know. The hard bit is changing back when you return - it just feels unnatural somehow.
