We would love to take our kids to disneyland Paris. Are there any recommendations for sites near Disneyland. Also how long does it take to drive to Paris from Calais?

We will be staying here this year for 4 nights. We are comming from Cherbourg so cant help you on that one but if you go to Google maps routeplanner, click on "Get Directions" and insert your two destinations, it will show your route and in the left hand colm it will give you distance to travel and time needed to travel.

Les 4 Vents camp site is a short train ride to Disneyland. The drive from Zeebruuge to Paris is just a tad over 200 miles and should take around 3 and a half hours towing a caravan, much the same from Calais I should imagine.

I stayed at 4 vents last year & it's a nice site the only thing that lets it down is the pool, as it's so deep & you can't sit around it. I was there for a week & did Paris as well.

I'm going back to Disneyland this year but staying at a different site which looks like it has a better pool.

We are staying here this summer

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3894

Seems to come highly recommended on here, and has the added bonus of a coach to and from Disneyland.

Drive wise I'm expecting about 3 hours or so depending on whether I stick to the motorway or not

Hi Nea,

We went after La Domaine last year, but have to admit we stayed in a hotel, couldn't face the thought of unpacking and putting the tent up again. We left Disney at around 5pm on the Thursday and caught the 10pm ferry at Dunkerque (sp?). This was unplanned as we had intended to stay in a Camponille en route, but in the end decided to drive straight through. I think the journey took no more than 4 hours, but may be wrong as it is all a bit of a blur.

Jacob loved Disney although it did wear him (and us) out. We stayed 3 days/2 nights.

Have fun

Sallyx

We've booked 3 nights in a mobile home at Le Village de Parisien in August - it's about 12km from Disneyland - the facilities look OK.  We are travelling up from the South of France after staying in our tent for 14 nights - didn't want to have to unpack all our gear again so the mobile seemed a good option.  They do offer quite large camping plots as well.

If you plan to go into the park for 2-3 days it can be very cost effective to buy 1 or more annual passes. An annual fantasy pass is less than a 3-day pass if you get sponsored (I can do that for you) by an existing season ticket holder which will save 10% on the pass price, then you get free parking at Disneyland, 15% discount on anything you spend in the park, discount on the Buffallo bill show etc. it soon adds up to quite a big saving.

You need to check which pass you need - we have a Fantasy pass which as a few 'blackout' days - but we used ours last year for an Oct half-term break (3.5 days in the park) an August stopover on the way to the Dordogne (1.5 days) and another break in October (3.5 days - although we popped in and out rather than doing full days and went to visit Paris and the Louvre on the Sunday).

As an added bonus we sponsored 12 people last year & we got 4 free annual passes which we probably will only use for 1 day this year on the way home from the Vendee, but as they were free it hardly matters.

We haven't bothered this year to sponsor people, so I still have 12 spaces if anyone wants the discount.

Christine

ps. for our weekends we stayed at Touquin in a mobile home courtesy of the Sun voucher scheme - can't comment on the campsite though - we arrived in the dark, went out every day and arrived back in the dark (Oct) so we didn't see any of it!

This is my first time to this site. I would like to reply to xtinexoop regarding the sponsor forms for disnyland paris. My family and I are going for the first time at the end of May and we will be purchasing 4 Annual passes. Is the sponsor scheme the cheapest way to get the passes or are there any cheaper tickets on line?  If not can you e-mail or send the sponsor forms- whichever way it has to be done to me?

Thankyou Rachael

Hi Rachael

Email me christine at cumfybumfy.co.uk and I will email you the sponsor forms with my details so that you can be sponsored.

How old are your kids? if any are under 7 you need to buy a full price annual pass for each one so that they can get a free one - but any adults/children not 'matched' by an under 7 can be sponsored and save 10%.

We stayed there last year also and liked it very much would go again no problems.  Only 5 min drive to Disney, easy to get to.

Takes us about 3 hours to get there from the Eurrotunel
