The AA http://www.aaroadwatch.ie/eupetrolprices/ gives a general fuel price, but not a detailed one like those available for France where you can see every petrol station. From what I remember, though, prices were much more similar in Spain and you didn't get the big discounts like you do at French supermarkets. I can remember thinking fuel was cheaper anyway, and not bothering to 'shop around'. It's a couple of years, in May, since we were there, though, so things may have changed
I was just chatting with my sister on MSN she lives north of Alicante and drives a Volvo diesel, she says they are paying just over 1 Euro per litre. Hope this helps. You could also check out the AA website I believe they show fuel prices in Europe.

I have three sides, left, right and wrong - which one are you on?
The AA website lets you compare the price in Euros, or the local currency, in all the different countries. I wouldn't like to be buying unleaded in Holland at the moment, at 1.53 euros/litre (GB comes out at 1.38 euros/litre. Norway has the most expensive diesel at 1.50 euros/litre, and GB comes second most expensive at 1.45 euros/litre. Americans pay only the equivalent of 53 euro-cents/litre for unleaded, and 59 euro-cents/litre for diesel!!!
Greece, Spain, or Slovenia seem to be the ultimate Euro destination if you want lower fuel prices at the moment.

The spanish government mantains a website with current prices of all kinds of gas for a vast portion of all the gas stations in the country. Go to http://193.146.123.247/aplicaciones/carburantes/index.aspx, select the kind of gas you want to know prices for (diesel in spanish is said "Gasóleo automoción"), click on the part of the map you are interested about, and in the following screen just click on the gas spot icon. You will get a list of all the gas stations in the area, with current prices displayed. And diesel at Spain is currently running at 1,15 and up
Thanks for the above link, just checked it out and as we have just returned I can confirm that we were paying 1.12 € per litre or around 85pfor diesel at the rate of exchange that we got.
I filled up yesterday with Diesel and paid €1.10 per litre. Prices are pretty similar normally wherever you go with the best deals at some of the hypermarkets.. Carrefour close to us is about €1.06 but I was too far away at the time
