Welcome to the forums Yvonnelouise.
Lots of people use the vet near Chateau du Gandspette, at Eperleques - which is a good site for the required stop-over. I think they are a husband and wife partnership, find them under: Paulus Jean, 21r Bleue Maison, 62910, EPERLECQUES Tel: 03 21 88 46 00 they speak English, and are used to dealing with English dogs. It's only about 500 metres from the site entrance - near to a useful smallish supermarket for stocking up on last minute stuff. Gandspette is only about 25 minutes from the car dock at Calais, and there's a nice restaurant on site, which is popular. Sanitary facilities are good, and kept very clean. Site reception staff speak English too, as do the waitresses in the restaurant.
If you're going between 1st April and 4th July, or between 1st and 30th September, then you could use Camping Cheques for the site fee, which means the cost is only £10.30 per night, inclusive of dog and electricity.
