Hi all,

 Has anyone been to France in the last month or so? Just wondering what the diesel prices are like compared to here. Surely, their government can't be as greedy with the tax!!!

On Friday diesel was anything from 1.25e upwards.

I think this has more to do with oil prices than anything else.
If possible running into Belgium would be more cost efficient. If you can run via Luxembourg take a can with you. If you are going to Spain or close to the border take 2 fuel cans with you and fill everything up.

Have a look at the AA website. They give up to date prices for fuel, both petrol and diesel

This is from Day-Tripper €1.30 = £1.02 so its nearly the same as here now

Just fill up with diesel and it is £1.22 so there is still a saving in France it goes up here about every 3 or 4 days.  Why?

Diesel is 117.9 at Asda, 2p off that if you use their credit card. It goes up by 2p every time I fill up though.

Belgium - 1.44 according to the AA website, France - 1.32, Luxembourg - 1.15, Spain - 1.08!!  Scary prices almost everywhere for caravanners.

wow, used to be cheaper in belgium than  france.wont be doing many miles when we get over the channel by the looks of things
