Hi

We are thinking of taking our motorhome to Disneyland Paris - it will be for myself, husband and our 3.5 year old twins.

Firstly how do you suggest we get there, where do we camp, what passes are the best to get etc.

Any info would be helpful.

Thks

debbie

I stayed at 4 vents last year, which was a nice site the only fault I found was the pool which was the same depth (I think 1.5m) & freezing cold, you also had to go in via showers so you can't sit around the pool. I'm planning to stay at Camping Les Etangs Fleuris, which looks like it has a better pool & it's the same distance from Disneyland.

The type of pass you get depends on how long you are planning to go into Disney for, you can order the standard passes before you go & it will save you queuing to buy your passes. If you are planning to go for 3 days or longer then it's worth buying annual passes, which give you discounts in the shops & free parking you have to buy these at the gate & take some photo ID. Last year they were doing free child Annual pass with an adult pass, I don't know if they are doing an offers like this at the moment. Also if you get someone to sponsor your annual pass you get it a bit cheaper as well.

I did this last year as it was the same price to go in for 3 days, & my niece got a free annual pass & I get to go back this year & it's going to be free to get in!

I just wanted to add, I went with Norfolk line last year & I'm going again with them again this year as they had the best deal. I'm then going via Lille, pass charles de gualle airport, also pass the davey crocket ranch. Sorry don't know road numbers.

If you have any more questions let me know.

We are going tommorow on the Eurotunnel, never travel on the ferry.

Taking a motorhome, you can stay in the Disney motorhome parking for your stay if you wish.  Showers ect are available.

We have dream annual passes so our parking is free, normaly 8 euros a day.

Last year we stayed at Jablins with the tent only about 5 mins drive away.

You passes is up to you, we got the year pass with no restrictions, you wont need passes for the children.  The dream pass gives us discounts off hotels which we have used, shops and resturants which we use all the time. We have had our money worth from our.

Hi

Thanks so much for all your help!  I will also look into the Eurotunnel too.

Regarding the passes, but I thought we had to pay for our children as they are 3.5 years old and thought only under 3's went free?  so did you go for the annual pass?  Sorry for sounding thick, but never been before.

Thanks again

the disney car park has an area specifically for motorhomes - we have stayed there several times. no electric, but you can get water and there are waste points for water and toilet ( tho i have never actually found the toilet one ) there are also showers etc. my daughter was 2 when we first went ( now 5 ), the beauty of staying on the car park is that a short walk brings you onto the escalator / walkway things that g oto disney village - so the kids are into the disney magic as soon as you leave the van. its also handy if the parents want a beer or two in the village, no worries about driving. its a wonderful place - but reasonably expensive for food etc !

We stayed at Camping des 4 vents four years ago. We booked through camping & caravanning clubs' Carefree Travel and bought the passes from them too. It was a nice site with big pitches. We found the swimming pool warm enough but then it was about 30c in the shade when we were there! Nice and quiet site after the hustle and bustle of Disney.

Soliel Crecy at Crecy La Chappelle is also a good site about 10 mins drive away- Try vacansoliel website. You can buy tickets online at disney.com before you go, they arrive in the post a few days later, very simple to do.

Thanks for all your help.

I posted on another board also and someone came back and said not worth going as our children are too young and they took their 8 year old and he couldnt get on any of the rides so not worth it?

Is this true?

i went with my 5 year old niece last year & yes there was lots she couldn't go on but there was also a lot she could. She loved fantasy land & it's a small world but love meeting all the characters. Also if you did want to go on the big rides they do a swop thing (I don't know what it's called) where one of you queues & goes on & then you swop over the children & the other person goes on without having to queue up twice. If you go to you tube you can watch videos of the rides & various parts of disneyland paris.
