I stayed at 4 vents last year with my sister & 5 year old niece as she really wanted to go to Disneyland paris, it was a nice site but we found the pool to be unsuitable for her, as there was no shallow parts it was all about 1.5m (I think). We went in August as we had to go in school holidays & found that there was quite a few teenagers in the playground using different things which made it hard for the little ones to go on. Overall it was a nice site with good size pitches which meant we had room to play games on but the pool put us off going back again this year. We're trying Camping Les Etangs Fleuris this year as it looks like it has a better pool, & it's the same distance to Disney. That area it is easy to get into Paris by train as well & doesn't take long to get to the hypermarket, shopping centre, as well as Disney being about 15 minutes away.

We really liked 4 vents but as our children were 17 and 15 at the time we obviously didn't find a problem with the pool depth.

Parked at Eurodisney and took the train to Paris, although if you want to drive in it, was free to park on Sundays in July and August and the roads were really quiet the Sunday we were there.

Hi, we stayed at berny riviere last year. As stated about 1 hr from Paris, but fantastic site with pools, a lake, bouncy castles, restaurant, disco, etc, etc. The great thing was that the site do day trips to Paris and Euro disney, so takes all the stress out of driving, where to park etc, would recommend this site.

We were at Disneyland Paris just over a week ago for half term.  We now have a motorhome so stayed in the Disney car park for free as we have Dream passes.

Last year we stayed at Jablins with the tent, fab site only 5 min drive and reasonably priced.  Only thing is they lock the barriers at midnight, and yes we did get locked out lol.  We were watching the fireworks, we left the car just outside the site and went to bed.  The car was fine and lots of other families had done the same, the site is off the main roads.

If you can go this year kids under 7 stay and play free, could be a cheaper option, Disney hotels can be good value if you book direct through them.

We chose the hotel option at New Year and Feb half term.

Can't wait to go back in the summer!!!!!!!!!

Hey Beanie641,

I'm off there with my boys at the end of July, is it worth getting the bus or is it just as easy to drive??

Hi,

We stayed at Berny Riviere last year too. It was great for the kids, loads to do, but we found there was not much else in the area, except Paris and Disney. It depends what kind of holiday you are after though, as I'm sure many people would just stay on the campsite all the time (I'm always wanting to be on the go!)

We found it easier to drive to Disney, as we could stay for the parade and the fireworks, although whether you want to do this with a 5 yr old is another matter! She'll probably be asleep by then! My husband ended up with a very sleepy 4yr old on his shoulders by the end!

We took the bus to Paris which was worth it though - we had had more than enough by the time it was due to leave! Hot weather and Paris are not a good thing!

It is VERY English - even though I spoke in French to the staff (used to live there) they replied in English, as if they were used to people not making an effort. Good if you don't speak French though!

HTH
