Welshy,

Along with B&B already mentioned, try Premiere Classe, Campanile or Etap.

We've just booked Premiere Classe for 4, room only for 49 Euros.  Unfortunately it is 4 single beds, but the day we have booked for is a Bank Holiday in France, so I shouldn't have left it so late to start looking!

There was another thread that mentioned the Akena chain, that has just started in France.

Glad that you have decided to get away for a few days, and I hope you all have a good time.

Premiere Class is the one I have looked at Bussy St Georges.

It's in the running!! Can't really grumble at that price.

Now booked for 3 nights - hope the hotel is ok? At the end of the day it's only to sleep in.

Changed the Eurotunnel booking at no extra charge as well

Where did you get the price of 49 Euros please. I've had a price of £58 per night

Gill,

I am staying near to Geneva, but when I was looking to book the prices did come up differently for different hotels even within the same chain.

Thanks Smudger.

I can't grumble at £58 a night. At least we're getting away.

Gill,

If you have booked the normal room rate for Premiere Classe, & not a "special can't be changed" rate, then there is nothing to stop you looking at other hotels, and cancelling your booking if you find a better one.

I have cancelled a BB Hotel in Calais about 2 hours before the cut off time on the day of the booking & didn't get any charges at all.

I have never stayed with Premiere Classe before, so no idea what there are like, but from other reports on here they are OK.

I looked on B&B but when you look at the rooms it's in French.

I assume "Chambre 4 personnes fumeur " means for 4 persons?

Is Marne Le Vallee any good? It works out approx £51 per night.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes plans fall through. We do not charge a change or cancel fee. However, this property (Hotel PremiereClasse de Bussy) imposes the following penalty to its customers that we are required to pass on: Cancellations or changes made after 19:00 (W. Europe Standard Time) on 07/27/2008 are subject to a 1 Night Room & Tax penalty. The property makes no refunds for no shows or early checkouts.

So I assume this means I can cancel without penalty?

Yep. You can cancel right up to 7pm on 27th July 2008.

Sorry, I can't help you with the specific hotels you are staying at. B&B should be in English, but you may need to click on a Union Jack in the corner or at the top of the page.

I think fumeur is a smoking room.

Family room is 1 grande & 2 petit.

Hope that helps

Smudger
