Hi Can anyone give me some advice. We are going from Dover to Calais at the end of August with a caravan and we are not sure of the date of return it will be about the end of November. The question is do we need to book a return ticket or can we ring or book on line when we know the exact date from abroad.

Thanks for any help.

Derek

Why not ring your ferry operator and ask them?

I would think it will be easier to book an open return ticket.

Book your return ticket, much cheaper than 2 singles, giving a return date in December, make a note of of the Ferry operators French phone no(they will speak English). when you know your return date ring them with the new date, they will charge a £10 amendment fee, an extra charge(on top of the £10) will only be payable if your new booking would have cost more than the old ie peak/offpeak. You will probably find Norfolk Line Dover/Dunkerque will be the cheapest. you can actually book a freely amendable ticket with Seafrance & P&O I think but it will cost more than the amendment fee. I would check all the Dover operators websites to find the best price tho.
