We went 2 years ago and had a static van. The bar was pleasant as were the staff, always helpful. Restaurant/takeaway on site, seem to remember it was ok.
We hired bikes from the site and cycled for miles even though it rained. Take care with the dutch style bikes, no brakes, you pedal backwards, nearly killed myself on a crossing when my foot slipped off the pedal!!!
Heated pool on the site. Camping pitches seemed nice, hedged areas. Good shop on site.
The beaches nearby were excellent, within cycling distance. Really lovely surrounding area. Nice town near canals. Easy to find from the Hook. There was horse and buggy racing along the seafront on the Sunday we visited, can't remember the name of the beach. No car park charges on a Sunday either. Good supermarkets in the town.
We went in August and there was a flower festival planned in the town for the day after we left, lots of preparation for it.
Enjoy!

Thanks David. Did U have a super pitch? We have booked through CC and not sure what pitch we have.
Gina
We tend not to book in advance but this time we did book via the CC because early May is one of the main school holidays in Holland. Unfortunately we did not get a super pitch! Mind you from memory they do cost about €8 more! I think you will be on a standard pitch if you book via the CC. If you want a super pitch ( which are quite spacious by the way) it might be an idea to contact the site direct saying you have booked via the Caravan Club and would there be a possibility of upgrading or perhaps just asking them to confirm size of pitch. The girls on reception speak excellent English so you could phone and ask the same question.

Hi,
We were there in May, we found it excellent, showers and toilets were very clean. We found the pitches spacious. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Very nice restaurant on site. We also went with the CC.
I don't think you can go wrong.

Just another quick question, sorry.
Did your normal caravan elctics fit into there electics or do I need a converter? if so is it a reversed polarity or just a normal continental plug thing?
Thanks 4 any help Gina
Gina
Its a standard blue plug like you use in the UK. Our polarity was OK but I would still check.
