We were there about 4 weeks ago. Not been home since to do reviews! It is a good quality campsite with very good facilities. To me the way pitches are arranged can make them seem a bit crowded but you might be lucky in getting one of the larger pitches. It is very popular with Dutch families so expect it to be very busy. The coast is only a couple of miles away. We went there so that we could visit the Keukenhof Gardens but they are now closed until next year. Delft and the Hague are fairly near. I think there is a theme park nearby as well.

We went 2 years ago and had a static van. The bar was pleasant as were the staff, always helpful. Restaurant/takeaway on site, seem to remember it was ok.

We hired bikes from the site and cycled for miles even though it rained. Take care with the dutch style bikes, no brakes, you pedal backwards, nearly killed myself on a crossing when my foot slipped off the pedal!!!

Heated pool on the site. Camping pitches seemed nice, hedged areas. Good shop on site.

The beaches nearby were excellent, within cycling distance. Really lovely surrounding area. Nice town near canals. Easy to find from the Hook. There was horse and buggy racing along the seafront on the Sunday we visited, can't remember the name of the beach. No car park charges on a Sunday either. Good supermarkets in the town.

We went in August and there was a flower festival planned in the town for the day after we left, lots of preparation for it.

Enjoy!

We tend not to book in advance but this time we did book via the CC because early May is one of the main school holidays in Holland. Unfortunately we did not get a super pitch! Mind you from memory they do cost about €8 more! I think you will be on a standard pitch if you book via the CC. If you want a super pitch ( which are quite spacious by the way) it might be an idea to contact the site direct saying you have booked via the Caravan Club and would there be a possibility of upgrading or perhaps just asking them to confirm size of pitch. The girls on reception speak excellent English so you could phone and ask the same question.

Hi,

We were there in May, we found it excellent, showers and toilets were very clean. We found the pitches spacious. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Very nice restaurant on site. We also went with the CC.

I don't think you can go wrong.

Marilyn

Gina

Its a standard blue plug like you use in the UK. Our polarity was OK but I would still check.

We managed to get a super pitch so no hemming in yey. It was an extra 58 euros but its worth it for extra space and the convenience of the running water etc.

I am really looking forward to it now, I was a bit nervous as it was our 2nd choice campsite, we had wanted to stay at a campsite near a water park but couldn't get in as we are arriving on a Monday and they only took bookings from Sat to Sat. But I am really pleased we booked this one now.

Thanks
Gina

First time abroad we stayed there good site all went well.

A bit of advice dont hire a dutch bike unless you are dutch they must be differenct to us its not just that you have to peddle backwards to brake the seats are very, very very and some more uncomefortable. Apart from there bikes its a great place to bike jut take your own.

We were at Koningshof in April and going back next April. We did go to Keukenhof, it was stunning. We used a super pitch and thought it was worth every penny. Many of the other pitches require you to park you car in a nearby carpark, this makes the pitches seem cramped.

The facilities are excellent and the staff a friendly. The EHU was a 'UK' style plug but you should still test it before plugging in, ours had reverse polarity.

On arrival you are given an information sheet which gives details of local places to visit, the site also runs a weekly coach trip into Amsterdam.

We're going back in April too, we go every Spring in a Eurocamp static. 17 Next year we'll be there 9th-16th, during which time it will be my husbands and two of my children's birthdays, so we shall be having a wonderful time!
