That has alway been my suggestion but he maintains that he actually spends most of his time going down slides or jumping in rather than actually swimming. Fair comment but I have then said that surely the speedo material actually makes you go down the slides faster. It didn't persuade him!

Slides - In that case he needs to adjust the trunks so they are between the cheeks rather than over them to get more speed. 

Completely uncivilised I know - but kids want speed

We were 'taught' as kids to arch your back so that only your shoulders and heels are touching the slide.

They do at the Etoile d'Argens in Frejus. They have a proper lifeguard too.

We go here and the little French boys drop their shorts at the top of the slides. Or so my DS tells me!  It din't seem to do his gluteus maximus any harm!

I was always under the impression that neither shorts nor Speedos were supposed to be used as a substitute for toilet paper. Are men and boys really that filthy that they wipe their bums on their clothes? Or is there a latent market for adult sized Little Swimmers out there?
