We went to the Loire area and went for days out in Les Sables. The Loire couldn't have been quieter! In contrast Les Sables was buzzing.
The beach was lovely, but packed out. However, the kids loved paddling in the sea etc and we drove up the coastline to have a look at the seafront. On the campsites people seemed to be shoe-horned in! The coastline is quite pretty though, and there are some quieter spots away from the main town.
