I know how you feel, last July the night before we left for Portsmouth, a red warning  light came on dashboard saying water in fuel, had to cancel overnight for Portsmouth, we were spending 2 nights there. Everything was sorted the next day. I am sure things will be fixed tomorow for you and have a great holiday.

Hi folks, thanks for the replies.

Well, total disaster with car, electrics totalley effed up so will take two weeks to fix and at least a thousand euro.

However my very lovely MIL has kindly loaned us her car so we will get there hopefully. Just had a bit of swapping around to do yesterday and will have to call our european motor breakdown crowd this morning.

We'll have mad dash this morning as we have to go halfway across the city to buy new roofracks, come home , pack up roofbox and make it to the port for 10.45.

Oh yes and another problem, my oh has a pet snake (yuck I hate him), his cousin came over yesterday evening to take him for two weeks but on the way home  in the car noticed the container was open - snake gone ! He is a harmless cornsnake but the cousin is not v. happy  as he's probably hidden in the car somewhere.

Oh is heartbroken and we don't have time to go and look for him.
