Hi,

We've just booked a mobile home on this site and wondered if anyone had been and could give us advise please.

Do they do excursions to Barcelona?  What would it cost and how long does it take?

A believe there's a little train on site, does it venture out of the site?  where does it go and what does it cost.

Any other usual info would be great.  Never been in caravan abroad or even been to the Costa Brava,

Just another thought

Is there entertainment at night on the site?  if so do you have to buy drinks from bar or can you take your own?

Cheers

Hi Geeky, we went to Eldelfin last year and are going again this year.  It's a fab place for kid's ours are 12, 13 and 17.  The met every nationaly going, learnt many languages and made great friends eldest spent a week with a young girl he met last year and she came to stay with us.

Don't know about the train, don't remember seeing a train it could just run round the statics, there is entertainment and a bar.  Didn't use it as we were camping and just enjoyed a glass of wine outside the tent but could listen to it without moving, it all goes off promptly at midnight.  The kids always bought drinks from the shop and sat at the outside tables.  The entertainment area is outside.

The camping facilities are imaculate so I would asume the statics would be the same.

You can walk onto the beach in moments, it does get windy on an afternoon and very very very hot it was 42 degrees last year, spent half the time in the car with the air conditioning  This year we are going in the moterhome with air conditioning and not in the tent.

It's only a short drive to the shops and supermarkets, the shop on site is very very well stocked and prices reasonable.  The bakery does fresh bread's etc every morning.

Think there were day trips available to lot's of places, if you are taking kids don't bank on going far we couldn't get ours to move from the site so much to do. They wouldn't even go to the water park.

Sorry can't give you much info about the static area

If I can help anymore let me know

When are you going we may see you or you can hide

Thanks very much Caroleeeeee for your reply.  I feel a little better abit it now.  Yikkees 42 degrees!!!  Is that the normal temp at that time of year or was it a heat wave?  Glad we hired a A/C Car.  My 15 year old daughter also pleased that your kids like it there, i think she thought it would just be for little kids, we have a 8 yr old boy too.

Like the idea of being able to take own drinks to entertainment - trying to keep things cheap, what with credit crunch; poor euro etc.

We've got a hotel in Calella for first 2 nights, so hopefully having a trip into Barcelona from there, someone told me it wqas only 6 euros return on the train - Bargain

We wll be on site 23rd August to 29th, so probably bump into you as we'r e nosey and will have covered every inch of the park within first few hours of getting there!

Cant think of any other questions just yet, but Iknow where to come now!!

Happy Holidays

Karen
