Yup the weather in the North East was probably the best in the country over the last 12 days or so. Friends of mine were on that site for a few days last week - when we spoke they were enjoying it so much they were tempted to stay.

Other friends in Normandy were washed out (again )

Hi.
Would love to know what you thought of the campsite. Have been looking for one close to Disney.
Also what crossing did you use, we would be travelling from N. Ireland, most likely crossing into Cairnryan, as we live in Larne.
Would be grateful for any advice before we make our minds up about where to go next summer.

Hi, we have just had a two night stay at Les 4 Vents en route to the Dordogne.  I have to say the campsite was fantastic, the pitches were great, large with plenty of space for the kids to play bat and ball, hand stands and carts wheels (which drove me bloody mad!!!!)

The pool area was lovely.  There was no seating around the pool but great if you are just happy laying on your towel.

There is no restaurant on site but they have a take out van that does decent food and also serves beer and wine.  The lady on reception told us the food was really poor last year so for this year have brought in outside caterers. There are also outside table and chairs. For breakfast a baker comes on site for a few hours each morning.

Disneyland is about 15 minutes away and is very easy to find.  The reception holds information and sells tickets on Disney.  This year we got the best deal booking via disney on the internet (15% off the price of a one day pass, buying two one day passes was cheaper than buying a two day pass).

I would really recommend this campsite and i know it is really popular within the forum.

We live in West Yorkshire and took the Dover Dunkerque crossing.  The drive was'nt bad at all and thats having a 5 and 10 year old in the back, with no DVD player or sat nav.  On just leaving Halifax the fuse in the cigarette lighter blew and we did nt find out how to change it till we reached the campsite.  The DVD player finally worked but the sat nav packed in.  Let me tell you having two young children driving 15 hours over a few days i know which one of the two i wanted to work!!!!!!!!!!!! We reverted to the good old map of France and made my journey as passenger fly by (and im a fantastic map reader now!!!!)

Let me know what you choose, Danielle

Hi.

Hello Jeff and Sharon,
The campsite was first class, pitche were HUGE! a 20 minute drive gets you to Disneys, We used the Hull to Zeebrugge crossing, its a fairly long crossing ( 12 and a half hours) but we make it part of our holiday and if you are towing then it will be plenty far enough for you to drive, we live in Ayrshire and it takes us a good 6 hours drive down to Hull, much the same distance as Cairnryan to Hull, I would say go for it, you will enjoy it!

The only compaint that I have come across with regard to this site is that the pool is very cold.
Did you use it?

We did use the pool and it WAS very cold initially but you quickly become used to it.

There is a bus stop right outside the camp gates but I was told that it was for the use of school children only. I did not ever see a bus stop at the bus stop, Disney is around a 25 minute drive from Crevecuor en brie.
A two day 2 park Disney ticket is 35 Euros from the camp reception, you will pay that In pounds here in the UK.

Hi all, first post here and saw this thread.
Oooooo I'm so excited about this - we are going to this camp site on Monday.
Glad the site has great reviews as we are total novices to camping really and it looks like we got lucky choosing this site (well, i got lucky - hubby doesn't really get a choice! lol!).
This will be our second time camping ever and we can't wait. Got 4 children from 2 - 9 years so a bit worried about the pool area....i read somewhere that there isn't really a shallow end???
also, what did you find about the EHU's? I am a bit worried that the polarity is different and we won't be able to use our electric?

This happened to me when I was testing out the double adaptor for the 12v supply. I changed the 3amp fuse to a 5amp to stop this happening again. I don't think it should be a problem as the fuse in the cigerette lighter is 15amp. Hopefully the sun will be shining next Saturday when I arrive at this campsite.

The pool was very cold at first as said before but you soon got used to it.  The other thing was i didnt want to swim but just watch the kids in my normal clothes but the sensors set off the showers on entry and i got wet!!!

There is no childrens area of the pool and my  ten and five year old could'nt stand up.  There is some steps which they can play around and stand on.Please dont let the pool depth worry you if non swimmers have arm bands on and children who can swim get to the side to rest then they will be fine.

The playgound is lovely too with several sized slides, climbing frame, swings, roundabout and a see saw and is very clean.

As for the 35 euros for a two day two day park pass I cant see this being right as a one day two park pass with 15% off was £35.  If im wrong then what a brilliant deal.

Hope you all have a lovely time, i want to go :-(

Hi

From memory, last time I was there, the polarity was reversed, but you only need to switch the brown and blue wires around (leave the earth alone - yellow / green) in your mains hook up lead and the electric works as normal. Take a tester plug (available from any caravan accessories shop) to see if the polarity is reversed as it can vary from bollard to bollard.

We have just come back from 4 vents and we loved it!

We were right at the back on an enormous pitch. The pool was cold but it was very hot while we were there so it was welcome.

It was a bit annoying how there wasn't a bar or vending machine for drinks in the day or around the pool but I will certainly go back here
