in Benodet in a couple of weeks and getting very excited!!

Just wondering if people who have been before have any advice on how to locate the campsite when we get to Benodet? We're travelling down from Dunkerque and probably wont be getting there until late afternoon / early evening so the easier it is to find the campsite the better!

Also, what should I be buying at the petrol stations in France as I need diesel (in other words what is diesel in French?)? Don't want any unfortunate accidents with the car!!

Diesel is Gazole - Unleaded is Sansplomb 95, Super-unleaded is Sansplomb 98.  Fuel is quite a lot cheaper in supermarkets (and by a bigger margin than here in Britain) so it's worth filling up whenever you find a cheap pump. 

There are all these previous posts on Letty and I'm sure I've read directions on how to find the site in one of the previous ones.

Guessing it's your first time, so have a great holiday.

Have a look at this Multimap. You can zoom right in and check out the roads on the satellite picture. The camp site is actually a little to the left of where it says Le Letty. Have a great time.

We visited the beach a couple of times last year when we stayed nearby although our campsite was at at Plozevet ,it was lovely ,make sure you visit Quimper if you get chance as thats not far away im sure you will have a great time.

Googlemaps is generally good but the satellite view resolution is pants for France. Geoportail has good resolution and uses IGN mapping, but it's a bit slow.

BTW and very OT, look at your own houses on multimap bird view. Nothing is private these days...
