went for 21/2 weeks had brillant weather, only 11/2 days of rain. Great cycle tracks to st jean du monts and the other way to to st hilare du reiz. La yole was brilliant had a great holiday and i am sitting here watching the rain. Waiting to book for next year.

We were a bit inland from there (near Poitiers) & had a nice sunny 2 weeks. It rained on the last 2 days though, so we're trying to dry the tents and the washing. And wondering where to go next year.

Wht are the tent pitches like ?

We stayed in a static caravan there a couple of years ago & although good they were very sandy.

Hi Jen,
We stayed on the new part of the site [where the football pitch used to be]. The pitches were spacious and grass.We have a large van and we had plenty of room for the awning,gazebo and car.I agree some of the pitches in the older main site were sandy and a bit shaded for us.I would definitely go back at some stage.

Hello Bill

I am looking to book for this area for next year - La Yole was on my shortlist and I will definately consider it based on your feedback.  What were the loos and showers like?  I'm guessing that if you are keen to go back they must have been okay.

Just out of interest, what ferry did you use and how long was the drive from the ferry?

Off to LA Yole next week and really looking forward to it.  Sounds like taking the bikes is definetly the correct option
