Hi

Only just joined your forum. I am 58 and am a mad camper. The kids have got me into the forum thing. Me and the wife retired but love the great outdoors.

We are happiest outdoors and especially on water. So I bought a Vito conversion and me and the wife are loving it. We are planning on Europe next year and will be heading South next week.

When you've thought a bit more about your European trip, come back on here for some tips.  The post at the top of this page - Advice for Continental First-timers - is a good place to start, but for more detailed information on specific areas and sites you can't beat the posters on this forum.

Have a good holiday next week - and who knows, next year we may see you in Europe!!!

That was quick, I had a thought about a great site we stayed at in 1995, it was near Bayeaux and was an old Chateau called Martragny, it was a great site and we loved Honfleur and Bayeaux and having picnics on the coast were once battles raged.

I do like France and will start a trip there for sure. We were camping with Canvas holidays and although it was a great experience and the couriers were nice (and mad) we prefer to be mobile and a bit spontaneous.
