Sorry should read Lyon spelt it wrong.I tried to get map up on website, but on listed routes in French no area map.
Following Mitchelin route we will be using A6. Idealy i am trying to book a hotel north of Lyon close to auto route has halfway stop over from Calais en-route to Frejus.
If you look on the map there is a medium sized town just nth of Lyon called Villefranche-sur-Soane right next to the Autoroute, we have stopped at a camping municipal there & there should be few hotels. Google the town name & you should find some.

There is one at Villefranche sur Saone which is about 15-20 miles north of Lyon on the A6. Dardilly is by the A6 on northern side of Lyon but A6 exits need to be checked for leaving the Motorway. We have stayed at many F1's in France and they are good value for an overnight.
Unless they have changed, Formule 1 have no en suite facilities. We normally pay a little extra and use either Villages, or Premier. There may be other budget hotels that others can recommend.
Cheers,
Jim.
