Try All the Aires by VIcarious Books .co.uk and also Camperstop Europe which lists sites in 16 countries. These really are excellent books, we wouldnt be without them.

On the other hand, download the Aires for free - more up to date as well

an interesting thing this year - usually you have to be on an Aires by Noon if it's one that has an over night stopover: Not this year. There were far fewer M/homes about

Has anyone produced a guidebook listing cheap stop-over sites in France, and/or Spain? Am hoping to do a bit of extensive touring in spring 2010, but it will have to be on a shoestring with the pension I'll be getting. Also having a 'motorhome' that takes up less space than a Ford Fiesta I do rather object to paying the same as someone with an outfit the size of a small circus!

If you are looking at campsites rather than Aires it might be worth considering Camping Cheques or the ACSI Book as both give discounted fees in the low season. Also a lot of Municipal campsites are very reasonably priced. In France don't be put off sites with 2 stars as they can be better than some 4 star sites as the star system is based on quantity of facilities rather than quality.
