Moved on to Ile De Re Stayed at Camping La Providence Portes en Re a 2 star site and very French (which is fine)The pitch was rather sandy and just about big enough, the site had 4 toilet blocks, the closest one to us was a little unkept, but the main and largest block was well looked after, the showers were fine and lots of hot water the site had no pool pool but was only 2 minutes from the beach which was a smashing beach, you were able to pick mussels and cockels and lots of other eddible sea food. the site had a play area which was a little tatty but had a good crazy golf area. The French people either side of us made us most welcome and with the use of english to french dictonary we were able to comunicate with each other, with the help of lots of smiles and laughing. France this year, is lot more expensive than last year(weakness of the pound against the euro) but well worth it. My 2 boys loved both places and we will visit both campsites again, would recomed both places to all campers and caravaners Drove 1250 miles in 18 days and spent....way to much, but who cares you cant take it with you. lpp2
