After another summer camp spoilt by rain we would like to travel to france for the first time next summer and facy Euro Disney, has any one been there? If so we would welcome you ideas of where to camp and the best way to cross the channel etc. A guide to the costs would be really helpful aswell. Thanks jeanna and scott.

If you haven't already bought your passes then definitely look at the annual passes. With the exception of the halloween weekend the Fantasy pass will definitely work out cheaper I would think.
We went Oct 06 in half-term (19th->) for 3.5 days and bought annual passes and it was pretty quiet, we benefited from a glitch in the fastpass system which allowed us to hold multiple passes instead of one at a time which was brill (I think a "Dream" pass allows this so check that out). We had 'indian summer' weather and walked around in t-shirts and cagoules for the odd shower we got.
Went again in Aug 07 - busier but open later and nice and warm. Having done it recently we only went for an 'overnight' en route to our main holiday and just did our favourites
Went again in Oct 07 for 3 days - weekend before half-term (about 10th) and it was busier than the previous year - we think maybe we clashed with the Paris school hols. Still ok though, but it was nippy. We went a week earlier because I had sponsored enough people to get a free pass, but you have to collect it in person, and I wasn't convinced the sponsorship would 'work' so wanted to be sure the existing passes were still in date. As it turned out the process was dead easy and we were given new annual passes for free! We did get a bit fed up though and spent a day at the Louvre instead!
Finally went for 1 day on the way home this year on 1st Sept purely to say we had used those new passes and to have a go on the tower of terror... perfect day, no queues, lovely weather - apart from Nemo there were no queues more than 15 mins!
We are now 'disney'd out' and for the first time we left before we got kicked out and the kids weren't whinging about it. Still seems a waste of the free passes though - we only used them for one day. Would love to squeeze another quick visit in before they run out in October, but not likely as hubby hates the place!

I was at Eurodisney this year in July, on two days midweeks. As has been said the queues were horrendous and frankly, if you took away the hundreds of gift shops, overpriced eateries and other money grabbing opportunities you'd be left with a handful of very mediocre rides and an awful lot of waiting around. How old are your kids? Mine were 11 and 6, the older one got bored very quickly and even the younger one didn't much like it apart from her meeting Cinderella. (One hour queue for that.) We all very much preferred Parc Asterix, one hour away...you can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers, the rides were x20 better, the queues were relatively short and there was a great deal more to see and do overall. With Disneyland the only reason we went back for our second day was that we had paid for the passes on a non-refundable deal. With Parc Asterix we had to be practically thrown out at the end of both days, and we'll go back again.
4 Vents is nice though, if a bit soulless. I got the impression that most folk were just using it as a dormitory while they went to the big theme parks or Paris.
The problem with Parc Asterix (far as I can see) is that in October it's only open at the weekends which I'm guessing will be crowded. So we're planning on going middle of October again when you can walk on and off the rides at Disneyland - thankfully our kids get a 2 week half term so the first week is usually empty there!

We were there for 4 days during the last week of July and it was very hot and busy but not horrendous. We bought extra fastpass tickets off ebay so we could hold more than one fastpass each at the same time. We really enjoyed and hope to go back at Xmas and Easter (I'm tied to school hols) We also bought Annual passes which saved us money on gifts and food purchases. We also got sponsors so that the Annual passes were 10% cheaper than usual.
