Having just looked at the Bilbao crossing and found a reasonable deal does anyone have any ideas for a site within a couple of hours from Bilbao?

Preferable a site on the coast with a pool.

The nearest we've stayed in is: http://www.campingarrien.com/b2_en.htm and that was crowded and had no pool. However, it isn't far from the end of the metro line to Bilbao.  There is a nearer one to Bilbao but it doesn't take bookings.

Haven't stayed at this one but have seen it and it looked okay: http://www.campingportuondo.com/camping/ru/cam.htm - may be worth investigating.

We have stayed twice at the Sylvamar site run by Yelloh just north of Biarritz. It is 1.5 hours from Bilbao mainly on motorway.

It is a large site with varying size pitches, chalets, mobile homes etc. Booking can be done directly with Yelloh and all the usual operators (Keycamp, Eurocamp).

There is an excellent pool complex, restaurant, entertainment, basketball, tennis, table tennis etc. It is less than a mile from a fantastic beach.
