Anyone stayed at Ca'Savio? Its difficult to tell from their website and the Caravan Club book what its actually like and there are no reviews posted on here. Any comments gratefully received.

Yes, we stayed there for several days, but it was back in September 2003.

Quite a nice site, lots of trees, need to be careful negotiating with caravan.  Quite a good, well stocked shop on site, lots of shops etc a short walk away.  Convenient for boat to Venice, drive there and park in one of the many carparks.

They are not big on the provision of water points, so check where they are before you pitch.  Grey water waste emptying did not seem to exist, we took ours up to the wasing up sinks to empty, heavy to lift it up!

Cleanliness in toilets was variable, we preferred to use our own shower.

Disabled facilities were non-existant in 2003.

Nice pool, and right on the beach.

Some noise from the entertainment, but it did not go on late.

We first went to Ca'Savio in the very early 1990s and was our only site for the main holiday for a few years. The family we went with still go there annually. Since then it has grown during our half a dozen or so visits, our last one in 2004.

As Jennifer says it is large with plenty of shade. Pitches are of variable size but tend to be slightly larger than the average Italian site.
For a beach holiday, it is a superb location and also has two pool areas, one of the fun pool type, the other being rectangular with a separate paddling pool.

Every cubicle contains shower, washbasin and toilet.   This arrangement can mean quite a wait 'cos there are no separate facilities if you just want a tinkle!!!!!

The local bus stops just outside the site entrance for Punta Sabioni and the ferry to Venice, St Marks.

We never found a problem with water points and grey water is emptied into the drains at the end of the Stradas.

Ca'savio village has a good few restaurants and shops with a large A&O supermarket.

Not really a down-side, but the road from Jesolo to Ca'savio is very busy and slow round Cavellino during high season with the sheer volume of traffic for the numerous campsites there. (there is a road following the lagoon to avoid this)

The area our pitch was in had only one water point  per road for the pitches down the side road we were on, is that what you are calling a" Strada " ?

The water point was down the bottom beside the path onto the beach. We were sited towards the other end of the road.   There was a small drain right under the tap,  but the area seemed permanently flooded as people coming off the beach were washing their feet under the tap.

We asked at reception where we should empty grey water as this little drain obviously could not cope, but we were told the only place was the motorhome dump area, which was a long way from our pitch!   So using the sink area seemed more sensible.

The site was not that busy when we were there, so perhaps cleaning had been cut back.  OH went to use the shower but came back to use our own one as none of the cubicles were very clean.
