Hi Caddyclan  We have done Caen - Dordogne (Sarlat) for the last 6 years and have stopped o/night every time. Left Sarlat about 9.0am arrived at Sonzay (just north of Tours) about 5.00am after 2 stops. Then left next day at 9.0am arrived at Ouistreham in the afternoon, ready for the 9.0am next day boat to Portsmouth. The site near Tours was L'Arada Parc (Camping cheque site) and the one in Ouistreham is a Municipul just half mile from the port.

We stopped at L Arada  Park coming back from Sarlat to Caen, a nice quiet but clean site, lovely overnight  stop.

Hi,I have a mobile home just south of sarlat and always travel from caen. The quickest i have managed to do the whole journey is 8 and a half hours with a couple of 20/30 minute stops. This is without a caravan in tow. I would suggest an overnight stop half way down and a early (ish) start again in the morning. The worst journey time was 11 hours after being caught in a tailback following an accident on the autoroute.
