------------- RAY
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Propane gas is OK but I guess your present bottles are UK supplied, Calor(not avaliable outside the UK), so your regulator wont fit Spanish gas bottles if it is direct into the bottle, if you have a modern caravan with a bulkhead regulator then it will be ok, if you get Spanish bottles then you will need new pigtail, depends how long you are staying in Spain, if you are running your fridge on the electric hookup & take an electric heater so you are just using gas for cooking, 2 full propane bottles brought with you from UK should last a couple of months at least. If you are staying for a long period you will need to get Spanish bottles(& correct regulator if required)
I did hear something about needing to get your caravan safety inspected(in Spain) if you want to buy Spanish bottles, so perhaps somebody wil put you right about that.

------------- Sell my camper? I'd rather eat school semolina!
A pig tail is for connecting a gas bottle to a bulkhead regulator. If your 'van has the direct into the bottle regulator, then if you needed to change to Spanish bottles you would also need a new regulator, no real problem you could get one at the same place as the bottles.

When we go abroad we take 2 full big bottles of Calor, plus a Camping Gaz 907. This is available in most of Europe so it can be exchanged if necessary.
As Marty said, 2 big bottles should last a couple of months if you have EHU.
When we were 2 months travelling in Scandinavia last year we used only one large bottle.
