Spain is a bit of a mix. We found some sites still use the European 2 pin sockets, others the newer blue sockets like at home. I would take an adapter, they are only a couple of quid. I also found the supply to be wired up with varying degrees of dangerous incompetence. No weatherproofing on the supply boxes, & brokenn locks leaving exposed live parts seemed standard. Polarity was often reversed. This is no problem if there is double pole switching & circuit breakers, but for UK wiring where we only have breakers or fuses on the live, it is possible to have an earth fault, trip your breaker & still have the "neutral" live. Take a mains tester & a doctored short length of mains cable with a plug on one end & a socket on the other with the live & neutral reversed. Make sure you label this! Another fairly common problem seemed to be no earth available. If that is the case, earthed appliances may not blow a fuse in the event of a fault, but give an electric shock anyway. Site ownere did not seem at all bothered by this!
We still had a fab time & will go back.
