Does anybody know of a book or a map for France which shows municipal campites.

We stayed at La Sabot a municipal site at Azay le Rideau and found it to be a great site and excellent value for money and therefore would like to try other municipl sites in other areas of France.

The Caravan Club European Guide, Vol 1 is pretty useful for Municipals as all the reports are by members. Have you searched here for sites in that area as that could show up some. Depending on what time of year you travel Camping Cheques or the ACSI Card could be useful. Municipals seem to range in price quite significantly from just a few pounds to on a par with commercial sites.

Municipal ones are great value for money, we have used loads in France. The Campste at Archiac is spotless and is next door to the open air swimming pool.  By showing your receipt you can get a big reduction on a weeks worth of swims. Dept 17
