A tip for Francais, and others, ordering the CC "Caravan Europe" 2009 guides. They can be bought from Amazon UK for similar prices to the CC members' prices!! I checked recently and if I remember aright CC members' prices were a tad cheaper, only pence, if you bought both volumes at the same time due to the way they calculated p&p.
In addition we have the Alan Rogers guides for France and Europe and the ACSI guidebook and DVD. The latter is very good with not only site details but an excellent route planner too, but, obviously, needs computer access.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We stayed here Mrs B, we paid 20 euros a night and that included a cooked dinner each. The owners are English and the food was fantastic, things like steak, trout, salmon etc. Worth every cent!
You can swim in the river which was fab as it was in the early thirties most days. Can't wait to go back when circumstances permit.
Thanks all, now have a dilemma as I want to go east/central and OH wants to go to Brittany (or so he says), I will get the blame of course if he doesn't like it!

My work colleague and her husband had their first ever trip to France several years ago, and went to Brittany. They loved it - because most sites had a lot of Brits on, and they felt the area was very 'Brit' orientated - and the barman in the 'pub' they used was British!!! However, they've been back many times since, and have travelled in most regions of France, and now prefer the wilder parts of France such as the Auvergne, Vercours, Tarn Gorges, etc.
